mood: confused

So I am trying to decide what kind of blog I want this to be. A scrapbook blog or just an about me blog. I can't have one without the other. I am a scrapbooker, but I am other things too. I want this blog to represent me. My life and my scrapbooking. I dunno why I feel like I have to have one or the other. But it is MY blog and I can do what ever I want!!! ha ha ha

followers!

I have a whopping 3 followers so I am going to reward them by....yea, I got nothing. I have no prizes to hand out, or goodies or handmade flowers or what not. But that does not mean I do not appreciate my 3 fav followers! :) How about lets do a mini challenge. List your favs:
1)fav SB brand(s) -
2)fav embellishments -
3)fav colors -
4)fav thing to scrap -
5)fav SB technique -
I will go first:
1) right now I am using The Girls Paperie, On Holiday collection and I love it. I love the colors and the design. And you can find that here: http://store.scrapbook.com/gipapa.html ( I hope it links you to the site)
2) I love buttons! and punches, scalloped circles. I guess those would count as embellishments
3)I love blue! I pretty much have blue in every LO!
4)my family, but mostly my son
5) I like to hand cut stuff like flowers out of PP. I can't afford to buy tons of embellishments so I try to make my own.

blog photo

So I tried to put a profile photo on my blog and it took forever to load and never finished. I have tried several times and it keeps doing the same thing. So sorry for the no photo yet. I will keep trying and hopefully get a photo up soon.

This is a LO I worked on today. I did it for the May monthly sketch challenge at sb.com. I loved the sketch and quickly picked these photos to use. And I had this American Crafts PP left over and thought it would work perfectly. I saw a tutorial on youtube about the newspaper flowers and I decided to check try them. I really like the way it came out. I never make flowers like that nor distress. But I just love the way it came out! And the dots around the circle are from these markers I've had since I have started scrapbooking 5 years ago. They have a really fat side and a really skinny side. I never use them anymore and always forget I have them. But when I saw this sketch I immediacy thought about those markers. I really liked how it turned out. And part of the title I printed from my cricut and the word "fun" is alphabets from cosmo cricket.

So I guess this would be my first official scrapbook blog post. I wanted to share a LO I just completed. I just love this pic of my son and my husband. My husband was cooking him some lunch and Westin felt that he needed to know what he was making. This LO took me all weekend to do. First I couldn't decided how I wanted it to look. Then I finally picked this Basic Grey Origins paper and I went from there. I cut out stars from my new cricut expressions. I had this cute checklist stamp and I wanted to show how Westin always seems to help out. So I made a checklist of all the ways he helps us around the house. I am thinking of entering this LO in the scrap a little May Challenge, which is to use 90% of Basic Grey which you can find here http://www.scrap-a-little.com/2010/05/yay-happy-national-scrapbook-day.html

first time

This is my very first blog entry. I decided to start a scrapbook blog where I can share my scrapbook layouts (LOs) and more with everyone. I must confess, I have no idea what I am doing. I have never blogged before and all this is new to me. So bare with me as I start this whole blog thing.
